MURRAY COUNTY HISTORY 1911

Note: When originally published this book contained 40 photographs. They are not included here for the simple reason that we were working with a copy of a copy of a copy and the pictures have become extremely faint and blurred in the copying process. The text is complete and now available to anyone who wants to read it.

It seems only fair to warn readers that some of the information provided to the author by Reverend Cotter should not be viewed as being totally factual! Just because a preacher said it, that doesn't make it true!! In a few of Cotter's utterances he appears to have told more than he actually knew–especially about the Vann Family.

The author, Charles H. Shriner, was a school teacher who lived in Spring Place.
